 Yurrugar ETTs at play  Yurrugar is a small Australian based kennel that is totally dedicated and committed to the superb English Toy Terrier (Black and Tan). Yurrugar is a hobby kennel with a professional outlook. We are proud to exhibit and breed quality, multi award winning, true to type, correct sized dogs that have excellent temperaments, toplines, movement, conformation and that true terrier attitude. We particularly pride ourselves on breeding excellent hind quarters with plenty of drive and correct heads with excellent under-jaws. Our dogs are only shown occasionally and enjoy much success when they do hit the ring. Yurrugar is currently home to a number of champions as well as some super rising stars. Our dogs have achieved much success at all breeds and royal show level under both local and international judges. Our dogs are our much loved pets first and foremost, show dogs second. Yurrugar is based on a beautifully set up, 200 acre property in country Victoria, Australia and is run by Paige Saunders with the close assistance and support from parents Mark and Jennie and partner, Robert MacGregor. The Yurrugar prefix has been established since 1975 and was originally associated with Holstein Friesian cattle, Australian Stock Horses and Australian Cattle Dogs. When the dairy herd was dispersed in the early 2000's, the English Toy Terrier breed entered out lives.  Looking out over the Yurrugar property We are proud to own and breed some of Australia's finest English Toy Terriers and feel that we have acquired the very best and in turn, we are producing some of the very best. In addition to our outstanding Australian bred English Toy Terriers, Yurrugar has magnificent imports from the USA and the UK and is the first, and currently the only Australian English Toy Terrier kennel to embrace and utilize American type and bloodlines. Through this website, we put our dogs out there for all to see. We haven't anything to hide and we are extremely proud of the dogs that we have bred, owned and currently own. We are a stand alone kennel and all Yurrugar dogs, imports included, are solely owned by us. Some wonderful worldwide friendships have been developed because of our dogs and hope to make many more. We take great pride in the excellent reputation we have established both nationally and internationally and thank those breeders who have helped us along the way as well as those who have thought highly enough of our dogs to want to acquire a Yurrugar one from us. There is never a shortage of people wanting to help out and stand by Team Yurrugar and we would like to thank all those who assist us on show days, you know who you are. Yurrugar truly is a team effort. We compete on the Victorian show scene, which most would agree, is extremely competitive. We attribute our show ring success to date to our dedication, hard work and enjoyment of working together to create a team of dogs that look their best whenever they step into the show ring. Although, to get to the show ring, you must first start with something special and we are dedicated to continuing to breed ourselves these wonderful English Toy Terriers that are good enough to compete and win at the very highest level.  Yurrugar Crowning Glory relaxing Yurrugar and the Toy Manchester Terrier: The English Toy Terrier is also known as the Toy Manchester Terrier in some countries (such as the USA and Canada). Although the breed standard for the TMT has some slight differences to that of the ETT standard, any educated and good breeder should be able to smartly utilize the American/Canadian bloodlines to create progeny that are true to the ETT standard. We here at Yurrugar have chosen our TMTs with the idea in mind of producing true to type English Toy Terriers and our USA imports both fit our requirements perfectly. The crossing of the American dogs to our Australian bred ETTs, as well as the exhibition of these imports, is allowed as per the ANKC/Kennel Club/FCI rules. Clubs and memberships: All of our dogs are registered with the ANKC. We are members of Dogs Victoria as well as the UK English Toy Terrier (Black & Tan) Club and Master Dog Breeders and Associates. We also take an interest in both the Manchester Terrier and Miniature Pinscher breeds and we are subsequently members of The British Manchester Terrier Club, The Miniature Pinscher Club of  Fantastic advert made for us by Dog News Australia |
